Precision heavy duty live center for lathe tailstocks, Morse taper MT3 to MT6, 400 to 4500 kg load capacity, running true to 0.003mm. Five sets of NSK bearings where our high-speed series uses three — that is the mechanical reason this one carries the load. Speed comes down as capacity goes up, from 3500 rpm on the MT3 to 1000 rpm on the MT6. Two letters close the model code: the first is the body — A standard, B with an extended double taper to clear chuck jaws, C that nose on a longer spindle — and the second is the tip, S for hardened steel or C for YG8 carbide, so an MT4-CC is the long-spindle body with a carbide point. Carbide is an option, not fitted across the range. Loads, speeds and dimensions are in the chart below.
