Morse taper reducing sleeve in 15 combinations from MT2-1 to MT6-5, ground to 0.015mm up to MT4 and 0.020mm on MT5 and MT6. It puts a smaller Morse taper shank into a larger Morse taper socket — MT3 to MT2, MT5 to MT3, and thirteen other pairings — so a drill or reamer you already own runs in the spindle you already have. Both tapers are hardened and ground, which is what the tolerance figure is buying you. Read the code as socket first, shank second: an MT4-2 sleeve goes into an MT4 socket and accepts an MT2 shank.
