Morse taper drill chuck arbor with a drive tang. The tang is the flat on the end of the shank: it carries the drive so the taper does not have to, and it gives the drift key a face to push against when you knock the arbor out. That is the whole difference between this and the drawbar version — a tang arbor drops into a drill press quill or a lathe tailstock and comes out with a drift, while a drawbar arbor has to be pulled in by a thread. We make the arbor, not the chuck: the shank end is the Morse taper, the nose is a Jacobs or B-series short taper. Sizes are in the chart below.
