Fine dial indicator reading in inches, 0.0005in graduation, in 0-0.25in, 0-0.5in and 0-1in ranges. 0.0005in is the precision step between the two standard grades: finer than a 0.001in bench indicator, coarser than a 0.0001in tenths indicator, imperial throughout. It is mechanical and analog, and a plunger type rather than a lever test indicator — it reads straight down the spindle from a magnetic base or gauge stand. Two external tolerance pointers, set to your limits, turn a batch check into a look. The bezel locks to hold zero, a limit stop protects the movement at end of travel, the body is aluminum alloy, the back a metal lug back.
