ER collet nuts in five types — A, M, UM (also written RD), MS and GER — covering ER8 to ER50, threads M10x0.75 up to M64x2.0. This is the clamping nut on its own — collets and the spanner wrench are separate items. Match it to the holder, not to the collet: at the same ER number the types do not share a thread, an ER16A being M22x1.5 and an ER16M M19x1.0. Type also sets what you can get: A stops at ER20, M and MS at ER25, GER at ER32, ER40 and ER50 are UM only. Outside diameter runs 12mm at the small end to 78mm; check fixture clearance. Nuts are a wear part, and a replacement has to match on thread; dimensions for all 23 are in the size chart below.
