Precision High-Speed Live Center Series

High speed live centers for CNC and metal lathe tailstocks, Morse taper MT2 to MT6, up to 6000 rpm. Speed is the whole point here, so the nose is sealed twice — a German skeleton waterproof seal over a lip-type oil seal — and that is what keeps coolant and swarf out of the three bearing sets (NSK double-row and thrust, IKO needle) when the center is running. Accuracy is 0.003mm on MT2 through MT5 and 0.005mm on MT6. The spindle is Cr12MoV and the body 20CrMnTi, both to HRC60±2. Two letters close the model code: the first is the body — A standard, B with a 30° extended double taper, C that same nose on a longer spindle — and the second is the tip, S for hardened steel or C for YG8 carbide, so an MT4-CC is the long-spindle body with a carbide point. Sizes, max rpm and load ratings are in the chart below.
