Precision toolmakers vise, jaw widths 50 to 150mm, openings to 210mm, ground to 0.005mm/100mm parallelism and 0.005mm squareness. Every face is hardened to HRC58-62 and ground, which is the point of a toolmakers vise: you can stand it on its side or its end and the numbers do not change. That is why these turn up on surface grinding machines, wire EDM tables and inspection plates as well as on the mill. One jaw is V-grooved, so the vise doubles as a V-block for round stock.
