Heavy-duty keyless drill chuck, thicker than the medium-duty from 13mm up, and its 20mm size grips from 1mm where the medium-duty starts at 5mm. Self-tightening here is a mechanism, not a slogan: the reaction torque of the cut pulls the jaws in, so a bit that starts to slip gets held harder instead of spinning free. The mount is a taper, never a thread — an industrial drill chuck for a machine spindle, not something for a hand drill. The JT socket goes onto a matching male taper: a drill press spindle nose that carries one, or a Morse taper arbor for a lathe tailstock or mill spindle. Bodies run 24mm to 62mm, the widest keyless chuck we make, on B10 to B22 or JT0 to JT33 Jacobs tapers. Sizes and dimensions for all 22 chucks are in the chart below.
