Digital dial indicator with 12.7, 25.4 and 50mm of travel, reading to 0.01mm — or to 0.001mm on the two shorter ranges. A plunger instrument, not a lever-type test indicator: the stem moves in line with what you are measuring, and in imperial the same three tools read 0-0.5, 0-1 and 0-2 inch. Accuracy is ±0.02mm on the 0.01mm models, ±0.005 and ±0.006mm on the 0.001mm pair. What an electronic indicator gauge buys you over a dial is the small stuff that adds up: zero at any position, a preset you can hold, metric to inch on one button, and a serial data output for compatible collection equipment, so a reading need not be copied down by hand.
