TNMG1604 Turning Insert is a 60° equilateral triangle shaped carbide insert with 3 cutting edges for economical general turning. The sharp 60° point angle provides excellent accessibility for profile turning operations. Features 16mm cutting edge length for heavy depth of cut, available in multiple nose radius options (0.4mm, 0.8mm, 1.2mm). TM chip breaker for reliable chip control in medium steel machining. CVD TiN+Al2O3 dual-tone coating (black top, gold sides) delivers excellent wear and heat resistance. Grade YT120S with tough 8-12% cobalt substrate ensures durability in 45# steel, Q235/A3, spring steel, mold steel, and cast steel (HRC40 and below).
